I’m feeling pretty sad, my mother wants to put my kitty down, and I know he’s reaching his time because he’s sick and could perhaps be in pain, but I just can’t bring myself to think it’s the time now to put him down. I don’t believe I’m in denial, but I just can’t bring myself to be okay with putting him down. He isn’t in great shape, he is sick, but he cuddles and loves it when I hold him and sleep with him. He’s still affectionate and can walk, but he’s still in bad shape. I’m just having a hard time with it. I understand what I must do, I just hate the idea of him being at the vet, which he feels terrified of, and having a doctor prick a needle in him, and have his last moments be in fear, with a needle in him by a stranger. Plus his body will end up in an incinerator with a bunch of other pets those vet workers don’t know know and care about. I’d much rather give him a proper burial with my doggy who passed away about 3 years ago here at our house so I can make a grave with flowers for him and visit him whenever I’d like. It’s just hard. He was my best pal ever since I was 4 years old. I went through my years of cancer with him as my source of happiness. I lost a balloon once at the hospital and cried, I mean c’mon, I was 4 years old, and I cried so much, but came home to my kitten that made all the tears stop. He was and is the best kitty ever. I just don’t want it to happen. I love my baby so much. I’m a bit lost, he’s more than family, and a friend. He’s my little baby.
